Welcome to the Southern California Institute for Research and Education (SCIRE), supporting biomedical research and education at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.
SCIRE is a non-profit CA public benefit corporation, incorporated in 1989, and was founded for the purpose of facilitating medical research and education by providing sponsors and investigators a comprehensive research resource management for the benefit of humanity and veterans in particular.
SCIRE has the responsibility of administering funding from sponsor in accordance with the conditions and terms of the contribution, agreement, contract or grant and the dedication to provide Investigators a supportive and productive research environment.
Small Grant Program
SCIRE small grant
($5,000) is for researchers who do not have current funding from SCIRE.
